Now that all of the letterform of the typeface had been constructed they were structured and layed out in a simple type specimen composition so that the typeface could be viewed as a whole. This stage helped to point out any letters that didnt work coherently enough as a set and so allowed for these to be altered before the next stage of the deigning process.
