Concept Generation
The initial stage of this design brief was to investigate the film ‘Leon The Professional’ in order to identify a number of crucial peices of iconography within the film. The intention of this evaluation to identify crucial aspects and imagery of which could be replicated through symbolism within the poster design. A number of reoccuring themes were identified such as the dress characteristics of the protagonists of the film, key quotes said throughout the movie and objects of which pay high contextual backing within the film such as Leon’s house plant and the reoccurence of milk as a metaphor within the cinematography.
Idea Generation
Following on from this previous symbolistic evaluation a number of the identified crucial metaphorical aspects were experiemented within in order to identify how they could be symbolised through the poster design. This paid a very crucial task in identifying how the symbolism could be used within the design and how the composition of these potential ideas could be manifested.
