Due to the nature of this brief leaning its outcome towards a physical printed media, the obvious choice for the execution and therefore the first port of research was to take a look/investigation in to a few different physical print processes that the final artwork could be created through. The first of these print processes is screen printing.
The process of screen printing made it the immediate obvious choice to take forward into the final printing stages as it very well appropriately adhered to not only the brief requirements but also massively aided the conceptual side of the design. This decision was made due to two major components that make screen printing as successful as it is.
The first of these is the opacity and overlaid effects that can be achieved through the screen printing process. Due to the fact that this is something of which is very hard to achieve through digital print, it allowed the opportunity to experiment with the design so to accentuate the overlaid transparency and obtain an aesthetic that is unachievable from digital print.
The second reason was due to the nature of the inks/colours that are used throughout the screen printing process. The nature of the inks used in screen printing allows them to achieve very bright and vibrant almost neon colours in parts. These vivid colour that inks come in complementing the vibrant and bright concept and context to the music video.
