Due to the fact that the initial idea generation stage was now over, the nexr stage within the design process was to begin to create the letters. To ensure that consistency remain throughout the typeface a strict grid was adhered to throughout the designing. The first component of the grid acting horizontally ensuring that of the letters individualy share the same width characteristics and so work coherently as a set when typeset correctly.
The final component of the grid was created by marking out the baseline and x-height of each of the letters and then outlining the point to which the ascenders and descenders of the letters reach. This yet again adding to the consistency throughout the typeface. Ensuring that the typeface look as professional as possible.
