OUGD603 - Extended Practice - Go Higher - Logo & Logotype

Logo-Type

Now that the decision had been made to use Montserrat as the typeface for the final brand identity the final step of the logo design process was to turn the standard typeface into the logotype branding for the organisation.
To finalise the logotype the typeface application was kerned properly in order to ensure the logotype looked as professional as possible.

Logo-Mark

To finalise the complete logo-mark an additional graphic element was added to further re-infoce the contextual link between the brand identity and the organisation. A simple taper added to the main body of the ‘i’ in the logo type and the manipulation of the dot above the ‘i’ to look like the nib of a fountain pen were added. This manipulation’s purpose acting as the ‘i’ in the logo-type but also acting as a stand alone logo-mark also.
